The Storage Bed is currently available in Walnut only. Because we use 100% real wood, no two beds are the same. You can expect unique grains and slight colour variation. These subtle imperfections are indicative of authentic wood, and should be embraced. Depending on the lighting, the colour may appear warmer under artificial light, cooler in natural daylight, and richer in dimmer settings.

Is the bed easy to disassemble if I need to move?

Yes, the bed can be disassembled the same way in 5-10 minutes for easy moving.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, we have phased out styrofoam packaging in favor of recycled honeycomb cardboard. What size mattresses work with the Surround Bed?

The Surround Bed has been designed to work with Australian standard mattress sizes, and is currently available in:

Queen (153 x 203cm)
King (183 x 203cm)

We recommend a mattress height between 22-28cm for the most balanced look. While taller mattresses will still work, anything above 30cm may obscure more of the headboard than intended.

We don't recommend any mattresses that are above 32cm such as Euro Tops.

"This is a lovely bed and the instructions made it really simple to assemble. It was easy to put together except for one side of the headboard and I reported this to them and they said they'd feed this back to the manufacturer. Note that there were imperfections, which meant that pieces which were supposedly interchangeable/symmetrical needed to be used on certain sides or put in certain orientations for the pieces to join properly and the screws to go in flush. This is not a bad thing. It's just something for users to be aware of when building. Arguably it's a good indicator that this was made with at least some significant form of human effort rather than being factory mass produced."
