Disposing of packaging responsibly not only benefits the environment but also allows the materials to be repurposed into new products. In line with our commitment to sustainability, we have phased out styrofoam packaging in favor of recycled honeycomb cardboard. When recycling paper and cardboard, including honeycomb cardboard, simply flatten or tear them into smaller pieces to conserve space in your recycling bin. There's no need to remove tape or labels; these will be handled during the recycling process.

Our bed slat system is designed to work with all types of mattresses, including foam, bed-in-a-box, spring, hybrids and traditional mattresses.

What size mattresses work with the Surround Bed?

The Surround Bed has been designed to work with Australian standard mattress sizes, and is currently available in:

Queen (153 x 203cm)
King (183 x 203cm)

We recommend a mattress height between 22-28cm for the most balanced look. While taller mattresses will still work, anything above 30cm may obscure more of the headboard than intended.

We don't recommend any mattresses that are above 32cm such as Euro Tops.

However, Ineshi really sold us on the apparent quality, Japanese joinery and ease of assembly and wow, they did not disappoint. The bed is absolutely spectacular! Beautiful Bed But Awkward Drawers

"I was so excited about this bed and it does look beautiful. But my biggest disappointment is the functionality of the drawers underneath. They have caster wheels that rotate 360 degrees so when you pull them out, they roll in all directions. This makes them really difficult to use since you have to really be careful when pulling them out or pushing them in otherwise, they will bump into the drawer next to them or into the bed frame. I contacted Support about this and they said that the drawers are "intentionally designed with 360° wheels so they can be pulled out from any side of the bed". But with this particular bed frame, the drawers can't be pulled out from any side anyway since the frame/headboard/footboard stops them. We will now need to investigate and see if we can modify the drawers ourselves since Support also couldn't offer any solutions or adjustment which will mean more cost and time. For a bed frame at this price, I expected better usability. The Customer Service team is lovely though and they were really great at getting back to us. They even remembered to contact us about a suitable delivery date once stock had arrived which I really appreciated."

Beautiful Bed - Very Happy

"This is a lovely bed and the instructions made it really simple to assemble. It was easy to put together except for one side of the headboard and I reported this to them and they said they'd feed this back to the manufacturer. The customer service at Ineshi over the XMAS period is second to none. They were super fast to respond and very accomodating. *Ignore the clutter in my room!"

"Excellent bed. Nice and solid. Fun to build. Note that there were imperfections, which meant that pieces which were supposedly interchangeable/symmetrical needed to be used on certain sides or put in certain orientations for the pieces to join properly and the screws to go in flush. This is not a bad thing. It's just something for users to be aware of when building. Arguably it's a good indicator that this was made with at least some significant form of human effort rather than being factory mass produced."
